Ola Skinnarmo

Ola Helmer Skinnarmo , born 31 May 1972 in Nylöse Assembly , [ 1 ] is a Swedish adventurer .

He reached the first Swedish South Pole (solo, but not unsupported) in December 1998. citation needed ]

SKINNARMO went in 2000 set off on an expedition to the North Pole along with the adventurer Göran Kropp . The body had to cancel the expedition because of frostbite when he held a gun in his hand for a long time at a polar bear attack . SKINNARMO alone reached the pole and was also the first Swedish to do that.

In 2001 went Skinnarmo along with several others to Greenland with a sailboat together with Torkel Ideström ski across Greenland in the same way as Fridtjof Nansen was 1888 . The expedition had to be stopped very close to the final goal after Ideström fallen into a crevasse and become imminent. Help was summoned, and he survived.

In 2002 Skinnarmo paddled in a kayak along with two friends, around Svalbard in the Salomon August Andrée track.

In 2003 he sailed and several others from South America's southern tip down to Elephant Island and later on to South Georgia to ski across the island just like Ernest Henry Shackleton did in 1916 .

All Ola Skinnarmo adventures available in documentary / travelogue format movies.
